NEAERA To Defy Categorization On Upcoming CD
October 1, 2004Münster, Germany-based metalcore act NEAERA will enter Stage One Studios in Bühne, Germany in November with producer Andy Classen to record their debut album, tentatively due in early 2005 through Metal Blade Records. "We have taken some time to once more go over one or two passages in the lyrics and over some riffs in the songs, and we think at this point, after some long days inside the rehearsing room and endless discussions, it is safe to say that we have now agreed on 11 tracks which we are going to record in November," the band write on their web site. "The songs will consist mostly of (Swedish) death metal riffs, but they will also contain mosh parts and even some melodic black metal passages, but hey, you'll see (and hear) the result when it comes out! All we can say is that we can't wait to present our stuff to you people out there and that we hope you're gonna be into it! We really don't care what you call our sound, metalcore, melodic death metal, whatever, we just want to play concerts in front of people who like our music and can draw something from it for themselves, hopefully something positive!"
A demo recording of a new NEAERA track, entitled "Broken Spine", can currently be downloaded from the group's web site at this location.
